BTP Convention Thoughts

The 2010 Boston Tea Party National Convention wrapped up just over one week ago. I'm pleased with the program and resolutions passed by the members of the party. It's always good to know there is a party that still stands on principles of small (or no) government, non-intervention, non-aggression, honest money and personal responsibility.

Party members adopted a program to:
1. End Wars of Aggression
2. Abolish the Federal Reserve
3. End the War on Drugs
4. End the Abuses of Liberty, and
5. End the Immigration Fiasco.

We also passed resolutions: calling for an independent investigation into the events of September 11, 2001; opposing intervention in Columbia; in support of the "Liberty Amendment"; and renouncing government in all forms. Regarding the last resolution, the question was asked, "What do you intend to replace government with if we suddenly got rid of it?"
I support a voluntaryist society. Society based on non-aggression which is voluntarily agreed upon. If people want to gather in one area and base a society on anarcho-capitalism they can do so; if others want to create a society based on socialism they can do so as well. As long as no one uses force or coercion to insist upon my involvement in their society.

I will be serving alongside two fine freedom-activist as fellow officers; Dan Kilo as Vice-Chair and Brandi Duncan as Secretary; Kimberly Johnson, Todd Andrew Barnett & Michelle Luetge were elected as At-Large Representatives with one seat yet to be decided.

I look forward to serving the party as Chair, and will work hard to get ballot access in as many States as possible in 2012 and beyond.

in Peace, Freedom, Love & Liberty,
